AMRT – Acquires 70% Stake in Lawson from Alfamidi (MIDI) Sumber Alfaria Trijaya (AMRT) has acquired a 70% stake in Lancar Wiguna Sejahtera (Lawson) from Midi Utama Indonesia (MIDI) for IDR200.45 bn. The strategic move aims to solidify AMRT’s presence in the convenience store segment by expanding its portfolio through the well-established Lawson brand. The transaction, representing only 1.13% of AMRT’s equity as of Dec’24, is not classified as a conflict of interest and thus does not require shareholder approval. This acquisition aligns with AMRT’s broader strategy to diversify its retail offerings and enhance growth within Indonesia’s modern trade sector.
