PTBA - CFPP Sumsel-8 set to be commercialized in September

PTBA - CFPP Sumsel-8 set to be commercialized in September PLN (National Power Producer) is said to be flow electricity of CFPP Sumsel-8 to Lumut Balai and Gumawang with 275 kilo volt (kv) transmission line. It is also planning to be commercialized on Sept 7th, 2023. PLN strives to strengthen electricity system in Sumatra through transmission line development to 150 kv. Power purchase agreement (PPA) amandment and Coal Supply Agreement (CSA) have been signed between PLN, PTBA and HBAP which will absorb 4-5 mn coal per year. (Source : Bisnis Indonesia) Comment : We believe that onboard Sumsel-8 CFPP should add PTBA's production as well as its sales by 4-5 mn per year, yet not to operate in full capacity this year. Moreover, PLN's plan to strengthen its electricity system in Sumatra should potentially adds its asset portfolios to PTBA's income generation.
