PTBA – To develop raw materials for Li-ion batteries

PTBA – To develop raw materials for Li-ion batteries Bukit Asam (PTBA) is collaborating with BRIN to start a pilot project, which is to convert coal into Artificial Graphite and Anode Sheet as raw materials for Lithium-ion batteries. Artificial Graphite is the main raw material in the manufacture of anode. Meanwhile, the Anode Sheet is the electrode where the oxidation reaction occurs, which is one of the important components in Lithium-ion batteries. PTBA hopes that the project will continue until the commercial stage. (Source : Kontan)
