EXCL – Data usage' traffic surged by 16% during Ramadan 2024
EXCL – Data usage' traffic surged by 16% during Ramadan 2024 XL Axiata (EXCL) posted an increase in data usage traffic by 16% during Ramadan and Eid 2024 compared to normal days. The traffic was due to increasing access to video streaming services by 59%, web browsing by 18% and social media by 15%. In streaming services, game-based services experienced an average increase of 135%, YouTube application by 17%, TikTok application by 14%, Netflix by 42% and Spotify by 23%. For web browsing, online shopping services increased by 650% and Google Map and Waze applications up by 154%. Based on region, West Java has the highest traffic increase of 32% and the Jabodetabek area traffic has decreased by 7% in accordance with the high rate of customer location movement during Ramadan and Eid.
