INCO — Advancing nickel mining and smelting projects Vale Indonesia (INCO) is progressing with 3 major nickel mining and processing projects in Morowali, Pomalaa, and Sorowako. INCO targets annual production of 28 mn tonnes of nickel ore, with 7 mn tonnes of saprolite and 21 mn tonnes of limonite. The Pomalaa project is currently under construction and expected to take 16 to 18 months, with the first ore delivery expected in 1Q26. Additionally, the Morowali project has reached 44% completion, with the first ore delivery planned for 4Q25. INCO is also exploring partnerships for its HPAL smelter project in Sorowako and plans to expand domestic nickel ore sales in collaboration with MIND ID. (Source : Kontan)
