JPFA – Boost 2025 performance with focus on eggs and milk Japfa Comfeed Indonesia (Japfa) is expanding their egg and dairy business lines in 2025, a new layer farm in Bintan, Riau Islands is under construction to meet local demand exceeding 1 mn eggs/day which had so far relied on imports. Some barns are already operational with pullets delivered, through distribution will be limited to Bintan for now. Japfa’s Kemitraan Sapi Perah Greenfields (KSG) program has distributed 1.080 pregnant Holstein x Jersey cows imported from Australia to 120 small farmers in Malang, Blitar, Pasuran, and Batu. Japfa continues to push, including live chicken to Singapore, processed products via JAPFA Food, and tilapia to U.S., Canada Europe, and the Middle East, with tilapia export value in 2024 reaching IDR700 bn. The company sees further growth potential amid the ongoing IEU-CEPA trade talks, nothing that Europe is already a key export market for both fish and livestock vaccines. Japfa remains optimistic about 2025 with a stable rupiah exchange rate, which supports imports of cattle and raw materials, and a strategy to manage currency volatility. (Source : Kontan)
