PGEO – Synchronizes Lumut Balai 2 plant, boosts PLN’s clean energy supply Pertamina Geothermal Energy (PGEO) has successfully synchronized 10% (5.5MW) of the Lumut Balai 2 Geothermal Power Plant’s 55MW capacity, marking a key step toward commercial operation targeted for this month. The plant will supply electricity to PLN’s grid, contributing to national clean energy goals and expected to generate 481GWh annually. PGEO is also accelerating other strategic projects in support of PLN’s 2025–2034 RUPTL, including Lumut Balai 2, Hululais Units 1 & 2 (110MW, completion by 2027), and co-generation projects totaling 230MW.
