INCO – Working on 4 projects with total worth of IDR160 tn Vale Indonesia (INCO) is working on 4 projects with total worth of IDR160 tn; Sorowako HPAL, SOA HPAL, Bahadopi RKEF and stainless steel and Pomalaa HPAL projects. Sorowako HPAL is a collaboration project between INCO and Huayou for the construction of an HPAL plant with a capacity of 60,000 Ni per year in MHP. The project will work with automotive plants such as POSCO, LG Chem, Ford and VW. Construction of the project has begun since the end of 2023 and is carrying out further downstream to the precursor. The SOA HPAL project has completed the final exploration phase with a minimum HPAL plant potential of 60,000 tons of Ni per year in MHP. The project will cooperate with other automotive plants. The Bahadopi RKEF and stainless steel project will build an RKEF plant with a capacity of 73,000-80,000 tons of Ni per year in FeNi and cooperate with TISCO and Xinhai. Furthermore, the Pomalaa HPAL project with a capacity of up to 120,000 tons of Ni per year in collaboration with Huayou and Ford includes factories and mines.
