INKP – Building a new factory worth of USD3.6 bn Indah Kiat Pulp & Paper (INKP)'s new 350 ha factory is located in Karawang, West Java. The plant is entering the 20% construction stage with a predicted production capacity of 3.9 mn tons annually (3 mn tons of industrial white, 0.9 mn tons of industrial brown). The factory's construction is to be completed in 2025 and with this new factory, INKP aims to meet the domestic and international market' needs. Currently INKP has factories in Perawang, Serang and Tangerang with a production volume of 2.95 mn tons of pulp products, 1.35 mn tons of cultural paper, 2.08 mn tons of industrial paper and 54k tissue. The 3 factories' utilization rate have reached 95%. Note that, INKP' net profit and revenue reached USD320.88 mn (-50% yoy) and USD2.69 bn (-10% yoy), respectively in 9M23. (Source: Kontan)
