SMGR - Collaborate with PLN for sustainable energy Semen Indonesia (SMGR) has teamed up with state-owned enterprise, PLN, to ensure a stable energy supply for its strategic projects. This partnership aims to boost the use of renewable and new energy sources (EBT), aligning with SMGR's goal to reduce CO2 emissions by 24% by 2030. With SMGR's substantial electricity consumption of around 2.9 terawatt hours (TWh) per year for cement production, the collaboration will involve implementing solar panels with a capacity of up to 572 megawatt peak (MWp) in various locations.
