UNVR – Facing various challenges Unilever Indonesia (UNVR) is facing a range of challenges, including intense competition from local brands, changing consumer preferences, and the boycott related to the Israel-Palestine conflict. As a result, UNVR recorded a decline in sales, amounting to IDR27.41 tn (-10.12% yoy) and net profit of IDR3 tn (-28.15% yoy) in 9M24. The sales decline consisting of domestic sales, which fell by 9.89% yoy to IDR26.63 tn, and export sales, which dropped by 17.45% yoy to IDR785.7 bn. Currently, UNVR will focus on its core segments, such as personal care, household needs, and food products. UNVR still holds an advantage due to its strong distribution network and widely recognized product portfolio, particularly for products that remain market leaders in 13 categories.
