UNVR – Gains shareholder approval to sell ice cream segment Unilever Indonesia (UNVR) has received shareholder approval during its Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (EGMS) and Independent General Meeting of Shareholders on January 14, 2025, to sell its ice cream segment, valued at IDR 7 tn, to Magnum Ice Cream Indonesia. UNVR plans to distribute the proceeds from this sale as cash dividends once the transaction is finalized. The transaction is also expected to strengthen its cash position and reduce reliance on external financing. UNVR will focus on its core business areas, including home and personal care, which comprise home care, beauty & wellbeing, personal care, and nutrition. The EGMS also announced a new board of directors, including Alejandro Meinardo Jr. Santos Concha, Vandana Suri, and Neeraj Lal. (Source : Kontan)
